Justify Text for Clean and Aligned Layouts for Your StyleCloud Website

Justified text creates a neat, balanced look by aligning content evenly along both the left and right margins. This style is commonly used in newspapers, books, and formal documents but it's also a powerful tool for web and interface design when used thoughtfully.

With the Justify Text feature, you can apply full-width alignment to paragraphs, giving your content a more structured and polished appearance. It is perfect for creating readable layouts, especially in multi-column designs or long-form content. You can justify text in specific paragraphs or blocks in WordPress by using a custom CSS class.

In this article, you will learn when and how to use justified text effectively to enhance the visual rhythm and readability of your StyleCloud design.

Step 1: Assign a Custom CSS Class

In the WordPress block editor:

  • Select the paragraph or block you want to justify.
  • In the right-hand settings panel, click on the Advanced tab.
  • Locate the field labeled Additional CSS Classes.
  • Enter a class name such as justify.

Step 2: Add the CSS Code

From your WordPress Dashboard:

  • Go to Appearance > Customize.
  • Select the Additional CSS section.

Paste the following code snippet:

justify {
text-align: justify;
}
  • Click Publish to save your changes.

Step 3: Apply the Class to Other Blocks as Needed

Whenever you want another paragraph or block of text to be justified:

  • Select the block.
  • Go to the Advanced tab.
  • Add the same class name (justify) in the Additional CSS Classes field.
  • Only the blocks with the justify class will have justified alignment, allowing you to control formatting on a case-by-case basis.

While justified text may not be the best choice for long articles or general content due to accessibility and readability issues, it can be a stylish option for headings, callouts, or specific design elements. Just remember to use it sparingly and always test how it looks on different devices.
