Manage License Key: A Quick Guide for StyleCloud Users

Managing your license in StyleCloud is a simple and user-friendly process. This article will walk you through how to access your account, manage your license key.


This option is also useful when you want to reassign your license key from the Staging Site to the Live Site.

1. Go to License Management


  • After logging into your StyleCloud account, click on the profile icon (usually found in the top corner of the screen).
  • This will take you to your Quick Links area. In the Quick Links section, click on Manage Account.
  • This will scroll down to a main menu in Your Account area. From that menu, select License Manage.


Note: Sometimes clicking this option might scroll you back to the top of the page. If it does, simply scroll back down to continue.



2. Update Your Current License


In the License Manage area on the right side you will see two sections: Shop Subscription and Shop Order. We will click on the Manage Licence from Shop Subscription section. Scrolling down you will see your current license key and the website it’s currently assigned to.


If you want to reassign your license key from the Staging Site to the Live Site, you have two main options:


  1. Option A: Deactivate the License
  • To free up your license key, click the Deactivate button next to the current assignment. This unlinks the key from the Staging Site.
  • To reconnect it to a new site: Go to any edit page on your Live Site. Enter the Kadence URL and paste in your license key.


  1. Option B: Delete and Generate a New Key
  • It might be needed to remove the old key and generate a new one. In this case you can simply click Delete to remove the existing key entirely.
  • Then, just click the option to Generate a New Key and use that key to connect StyleCloud to your Live Site.



Note: Keep in mind, when deactivating the key you will not be able to connect to the StyleCloud design library but you will be able to keep editing your site. The single license can be used on one site only. In case you want to create multiple site at the same time, then we suggest going with an Agency License: https://stylecloud.co/agency-pricing/


3. Troubleshooting


Method A

In order to solve the connection issue with StyleCloud license key, I suggest doing this:

  • remove the old connection


  • add the new connection


Use these details for the new connection:


Method B

If the issue occurs, then we suggest doing the following:

  • remove the key from your account
  • generate a new one in your StyleCloud account
  • reconnect the StyleCloud library

And if that does not help, then please check the following:

  • check if the site is using PHP 8.1, 8.2, or 8.3
  • check if the PHP memory_limit value is at least 256M, preferabily 512M
  • check if there are no cURL issues
