4.3 Mapping Your Domain To Your StyleCloud Site
Once your StyleCloud site is ready, you'll want to point your own domain (the one you bought from GoDaddy, Namecheap, 123 Reg, etc.) at it. This is called domain mapping, and it's done through your domain registrar's DNS settings.
Domain mapping lets you use your own custom web address (e.g. www.yourbrand.com) instead of a StyleCloud-generated one. This feature is available on paid plans only.
Note: If you use Cloudflare, disable it before mapping a domain. You can re-enable it once the mapping is complete.
1. Find the Map Your Domain settings in your My Account area.
Go to My Account where you will see your site listed. Click on View Details to take you to the settings.
Then click on Map Domain as pictured below to trigger a modal form.

2. Enter your domain and note the CNAME address.
In the modal, you will see the CNAME record you need to create in your DNS records, wherever you bought your domain. Keep that tab open, you'll copy it across in a minute.
Don't hit the Map Domain button just yet.

3. Create your CNAME record in your domain settings.
Below you can see an example of the DNS settings area in a typical host. This one is GoDaddy.
Add 'www' to the Name box and your StyleCloud url from the setup panel and hit save.
Your domain will be set up as https://yourdomain.com without the 'www'.
If you are happy without the 'www', you're done and can return to the modal window in StyleCloud and hit Map Domain.

4. How to add the www to your domain (optional)
If you need to add the 'www' to your domain (eg. https://yourdomain.com), then you'll need one more additional step.
It is important to match your domain format to how it is currently being used, to make sure that your site continues to be indexed by Google in the same way.
In your domain hosting, look for the Domain Forwarding or Redirect option. It's usually in the same place at the DNS settings. Add the full domain (https://www.yourdomain.com) to the redirect box and hit save.
Now return to the StyleCloud settings panel and click on Map Domain.
