3.6. Manage Contact Forms

Creating and managing contact forms on your WordPress site is essential for user engagement and communication.

1. Simple and Advanced Contact Forms

Basic Form Block allows you to:

  • Add Unlimited Custom Fields - Include fields like text, email, text area, and more.
  • Customize Field Settings - Adjust labels, placeholder text, and set fields as required.
  • Style the Form - Modify button colors, borders, and spacing to align with your site's design.

Advanced Form Block allows you to:

  • Same as Basic Form + more control on the structure

2. Linear and Custom Form Structures

Kadence Blocks offers flexibility in form layout:

  • Linear Structure: Arrange fields in a single column for a straightforward, step-by-step user experience.
  • Custom Structure: Utilize the Row Layout Block to create multi-column forms, ideal for surveys or applications.

3. Setting the Email Address

To configure the recipient email for form submissions:

  • Add the Form Block to your page.
  • Navigate to the Submit Actions section.
  • Enable the Email action.
  • In the Email Settings, input the desired recipient email address, subject line, and customize the "From" name and email address.

4. Redirect to a Thank You Page

To redirect users to a custom thank-you page after form submission:

  • In the Submit Actions section
  • Enable the Redirect action.
  • Enter the URL of your thank-you page.

5. Saving Form Entries

The Kadence Blocks PRO plugin allows you to save form submissions directly within your WordPress dashboard:

  • Enable the Database Entry action in the Submit Actions section.
  • Customize the entry settings, such as form name and data storage preferences.
  • Access submissions under Kadence Blocks > Form Entries

This feature is particularly useful for maintaining records and analyzing form data.

If you are not using the Kadence Blocks PRO plugin, you could try our plugin called "Contact Form Saver" which comes as part of the Annual Subscription plan.

6. Styling Your Contact Form

Customize the appearance of your form to match your site's design:

  • Field Styles - Adjust input background color, border settings, and font styles.
  • Button Styles - Modify button colors, borders, and spacing.

7. SMPT

After creating a contact form we suggest testing it by sending a few messages. If the messages do not reach your inbox, that means that there is an issue with the mail server. This means that your website cannot process messages. And in such cases it is needed to solve the mail server issue. In order to do that, we suggest installing either WP Mail SMTP or Fluent SMTP plugins. Then configure them based on your service provider.
