3.5.2. Manage Individual Galleries

Creating and customizing gallery is at the heart of managing media content in WordPress. Here are the basic steps to create a gallery.

  • Go to Dashboard > My Galleries > Add Gallery
  • You’ll be taken to the Block Editor (Gutenberg)
  • In the editor mode: add a title at the top of the gallery.

StyleCloud offers a library of over 580 pre-designed blocks and 240 pre-designed templates, organized into various categories for easy browsing. We encourage you to explore these blocks to enhance your site design.

To access them:

  • Click the Design Library icon located at the top left of the editor.
  • Then select StyleCloud from the available options.

Technically you can add any blocks on a post. No need to limit only to the Gallery category.

The featured image is the main visual that represents your gallery. It often appears:

  • When sharing on social media
  • Search result

To add a featured image:

  • On the right side of the gallery in editor mode
  • Click on the gallery section
  • Click on the set featured image option
  • Choose a image from your Media Library or upload new one
  • Click set featured image.

Keep in mind to use high-quality, relevant images that are properly sized.

3. Manage Gallery(Adv) Blocks:

  • Replace gallery images
  • Change the gallery layout (masonry, grid, slider)
  • Choose columns (masonry, grid)
  • Change gallery gutter (space between images)
  • Decide whether to crop images
  • Enable linking to media files, open in lightbox, or link to pages

There is possibility to customize how a single gallery post can be viewed. To do that you would go to Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer> Posts/Pages Layout > Galleries Layout

Here you will be able to customize:

  • Featured Image
  • Gallery Title
  • Content Style
  • Title Elements
